We have all heard the expression before from generations before us yet most of us continue to go against solid historic advice and continue putting all of our eggs in one basket.

How many of us have their credit cards, loans, mortgages, lines of credits, RRSP’s, savings and chequing accounts all at the same institution and same branch? Is this wise?

There used to be a time when banking was relationship and loyalty based. A time when you knew exactly who you needed to talk to when you entered the branch and they knew you. A time when you would sit down with the bank manager, tell him your life story, your goals, learn of theirs and establish a long term friendship and working relationship.
