Since Mayor Miller is unwilling to take steps to end the garbage strike, the City of Toronto is asking that residents either store their garbage for the duration of the strike or bring their garbage to one of nineteen temporary residential temporary drop-off sites that are now available for use by residents only.
These sites will be open 12 hours a day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. All residential waste will be accepted free of charge. All waste must be double bagged. A map of the drop-off sites throughout the city can be accessed at www.toronto.ca/labour-relations/index.htm#mapdrops
