CMHC reported on July 9th that seasonally adjusted annual rate of housing starts increased to 140,700 units in June compared to 130,300 in May.
Housing starts are expected to improve throughout 2009 and over the next several years according to CMHC. This improvement is expected as the starts become more closely aligned with the demographic demand.
