Royal LePage Garage Sale Raises $400,000 To Help End Domestic Violence

On Mother’s Day weekend of this year, Royal LePage’s National Garage Sale for Shelter raised more than $400,000 in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Every dollar raised supports the organization, which supports local women’s shelters and prevention/education programs designed to help end the cycle of family violence and domestic abuse.

“With the funds raised at the National Garage Sale for Shelter, women’s shelters are able to offer a welcoming place for women and children seeking a refuge from violence, providing them with safety and a chance for a new beginning,” said the executive director of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, Shanan Spenver-Brown. “With the rising costs of hydro, gas and food, and with increasing numbers of women and children seeking help, shelters need our support now than ever before.”

The even was also sponsored by TD Canada Trust Mobile Mortgage Specialists, Atlas Van Lines Canada and Advance Commission Company of Canada.
